PFE Dance Showcase is an annual Ukrainian dance festival organized and hosted by Pavlychenko Folklorique Ensemble. This began in 2004 with the intention of re-establishing a dance festival in Saskatoon, Showcase has now become a highly anticipated event!

 

This festival hosts dance troupes from across the nation and is open to dancers from every province. Spanning over a four or five-day period, PFE Dance Showcase is unique in having both a male and female adjudicator evaluating each medium and large group dance. 

 

The event also includes a Showcase Concert. The Showcase concert presents dances selected by the Adjudicators, highlighting some of the most memorable medium and large group performances of the weekend, and allowing them to perform for the audience again. This Saturday night concert is free and open to the general public. The schedule is dependant on the amount and type of entries received and is typically held on Saturday evening. 

 

PFE Dance Showcase hopes to encourage a positive dancing atmosphere promoting interactions and friendships with other dancers. We invite you to come and enjoy some terrific dancing while experiencing this wonderful aspect of Ukrainian culture!

 

In 2026, the festival celebrated its 20th year with over 760 entries and over 1000 unique dancers! Congratulations to all of our participants on an amazing five days of dance and culture!  

 

PFE Dance Showcase 2027 will take place on April 7 to 11, 2027.

Registration will be open in the fall of 2026.
